The Devil Inside and Batman tickets.

The Blair Witch Project is like the Halloween of the Found footage/docu-drama genre, it may not have created the genre, but it certainly was the driving force that popularised the genre, prompting the release of similar films such as Cloverfield, Paranormal Activity and The Devil Inside, to name but a few.

The Devil Inside plays out as a docudrama following Isabella Rossi's (Fernanda Andrade) trip to the school of Exorcism in Roma where she plans to visit her mother, Maria Rossi (Suzan Crowley), who killed three church members during an exorcism in 1989. She is determined to find out what happened to her mother, and with the help of two priests, Isabella becomes involved in the murky water of exorcisms.

Have you seen The Last Exorcism? The Exorcism of Emily Rose? The Exorcist? The Rite? Yes? Then you have seen The Devil Inside. The Devil Inside is a mash up of much better exorcism movies pasted together to create one whole film, and the result is not particularly impressive. Its generic factors could be forgiven if other elements were better but they are not, the performances are poor (worst troubled priest ever) and the scares and plot predictable. The film attempts to add a bit of mystery over the science-possession debate, but the only mystery is how this film made over 10000% profit despite the majority of the audience taking an immense dislike to it. The Devil Inside is the film The Vatican does not want you to see; perhaps they do care about the welfare of others.

1/5

Plus I have tickets to see that Batman film that is coming out soon, a review will be posted on Saturday, unless a unforeseen disaster occurs in a similar fashion to events in the film The Discreet Charm of the Bourgeoisie.  Oh, I'm not a fan of The Dark Knight. Just thought I would mention that.
